About

Ronit Shahaf (b. 1964) is an Israeli artist and a graduate of the Midrasha School of Art, where she studied under Israel Hershberg, Rafi Lavie, and Tsibi Geva. She lives and works in Kiryat Ono, where her studio is located. Her work draws inspiration from everyday life, focusing on themes of social interactions, environments, and fleeting moments in time.

Shahaf often creates large-scale canvases depicting vibrant scenes of cafés and social gatherings, highlighting human connections. Her paintings are characterized by detailed compositions that weave together color, texture, and fabric, creating dynamic and immersive narratives. Extending her artwork onto the edges of her stretched canvases, she integrates every part of the piece into a cohesive whole.
